Using carefully selected ingredients, we at The Foods of Athenry produce bread, cakes and pies that can find a place in a healthy diet without overloading it with calories or sacrificing nutritional balance. Many of our products contribute to the day's intake of protein, dietary fibre, vitamins and minerals. We manufacture a range of Soda breads, Scones, Pies, Cakes, Slices and Seasonal Products.

All our products contain no yeast , salt , preservatives , additives or hydrogenated fats. We are committed to using quality basic ingredients to produce simple wholesome ‘clean label’ food. Siobhán’s motto that she would never put anything into the baking that she wouldn’t give her own family has influenced the choice of natural raw ingredients used at The Foods of Athenry. Resulting from this, consumers have the benefit of handmade wheat sodabreads, spelt sodabread, apple tarts, scones etc and the convenience of finding them on their local shops shelves, delivered fresh each day throughout Galway city and county.

Because of the natural simple ingredients used The Foods of Athenry have had very positive feedback from consumers who have dietary limitations and they now run a range of products that are suitable for people who are wheat sensitive, diabetic and vegan. The vegetable margarine used is a 100% non-hydrogenated vegetable margarine which makes all products suitable for vegetarians. The Tea bracks and spelt tea bracks which hit that sweet tooth are sweetened with apple juice and have no added sugar or artificial sweeteners. The Brown Soda is our sugar free bread option and the Spelt Soda is sweenened with honey.
