The highly acclaimed range of gourmet sodabread toasts from the family-run Irish bakery The Foods of Athenry is now being stocked in up to 190 Waitrose stores across the UK.
Following the success of the Multiseed and the Honeyed Almond and Rosemary toasts which have been stocked in Waitrose since summer 2015, the two favourites will now be joined by the spicy Multiseed with Cumin and the fruity Cranberry and Hazelnut in more than 60 of the premium supermarket’s stores.
Like any newborn, the name is carefully chosen. After all, you’ll carry it with you for a long time. With a food company, the same considerations re: personality, how it rolls off the tongue, how it feels; all combine to name the baby.
As time goes by, because with any luck - every night you go to bed smarter than when you woke up – you see where improvements can be made. A business is an evolutionary process, and to stand in the way of evolution is to wither and die. There's been lots of extra work going on behind the scenes here and we're excited to finally share what we've been working on.
Capital and other initiatives in this company are co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund and Enterprise Ireland under the Border, Midland and Western Regional Operational Programme 2014-2020. The aim of the initiatives was to purchase assets to allow the company to increase productivity resulting in improved competitiveness, and to recruit a key manager bringing skills that are critical to future growth.
