We are delighted to be shortlisted for the Matheson WMB Female Entrepreneur Award 2018 as part of the Women Mean Business awards which are now in their 12th year.  

"When I first started baking in 1998, I never imagined that I would be nominated for an award like this. The Foods of Athenry has won over 60 taste awards since we started and this is a first time nomination for myself. As an ‘accidental entrepreneur’  I’m flattered and delighted. Baking and consumer needs have changed so much over the years that I have often thought of writing a go-to "how to” baking book. 

Family-run Irish company The Foods of Athenry has once again been celebrated in this year’s Great Taste Awards, announced on 28^th July 2016.

The Foods of Athenry’s range of gluten-free sodabread toasts were all awarded stars in the 2016 Great Taste Awards, bringing the company to over 50 taste accolades for its all-natural and additive-free products.

Last night (9th May) we attended the 2016 Free From Food Awards Ireland, a lovely black-tie gala event at the historic Mansion House in Dublin. As always, there was stiff competition from some incredible Irish food brands producing fabulous free from foods.

We were absolutely overwhelmed with the amazing response from the judges who awarded us four Gold awards for our High Omega Berry Granola in the Raw & Super Foods Category, the Cranberry & Hazelnut Sodabread Toasts in the Crackers & Crispbreads category, the Belgium Chocolate Orange Biscuit Cake in the Biscuits & Cookies category, and our new gluten free Bite box in the Innovation category!

Delighted & honoured  to be recommended by the doyenne of fabulous food , Georgina Campbell - in her IRELAND guide for 2013.

Since its inception in 1997, the editorial position at Georgina Campbell Guides has always been fiercely proud of it's independent and no payment is received for their recommendations. And for a small family business in the West of Ireland who lay in ashes in the Summer of 2011- we were overwhelmed and beyond excited to have won 7, yes that is SEVEN , Gold medals for a selection of our 'regular' and gluten free products.
