Each week we will be publishing a list of new outlets that are stocking our range of products.
We all know that breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day. For a coeliac and gluten intolerant man, woman or child it`s even more important to start the day with the right gluten free cereal. The Foods of Athenry have a number of different cereals and granolas available and with these breakfast bowls it`s an easy way to make sure your breakfast is filling, has lots of variety and includes at least one portion of fruit to get your day started right.
We've put together six different breakfast bowl ideas, inspired by and using our six different gluten free cereals and granolas, which now come in 450g boxes and in individual serving packs. All these recipes are gluten free and all can be made dairy free with substitions. Some are even naturally vegan, like our Nutty Crunch Granola which is sweetened with fruit juice!
Coeliac Awareness Week has come round again and as usual it's not only a great opportunity to raise awareness of coeliac disease but also to celebrate great gluten free food.

Family-run Irish company The Foods of Athenry has once again been celebrated in this year’s Great Taste Awards, announced on 28th July 2016.

We have had a great response to our shout out for helping to choose our new addition to the Cookie Shot family. Lots of variety in there from fruity and nutty, to caramel and spicy, as well as a few strange ones. Re: the gin & tonic suggestion – better drank than eaten I think!
Last night (9th May) we attended the 2016 Free From Food Awards Ireland, a lovely black-tie gala event at the historic Mansion House in Dublin. As always, there was stiff competition from some incredible Irish food brands producing fabulous free from foods.
We were absolutely overwhelmed with the amazing response from the judges who awarded us four Gold awards for our High Omega Berry Granola in the Raw & Super Foods Category, the Cranberry & Hazelnut Sodabread Toasts in the Crackers & Crispbreads category, the Belgium Chocolate Orange Biscuit Cake in the Biscuits & Cookies category, and our new gluten free Bite box in the Innovation category!
Vegan Mammy shares her favourite vegan snacks for kids when she's out and about.
As a mother with two kids on a vegan and gluten free diet, it can be hard to find snacks and treats when we're out and about. A little planning and having ideas of what you can buy makes life a lot easier. Kids get hungry often and having snacks ready can really help avoid the kids (and me!) getting cranky. I also like to have food on hand for babies and young kids if we go out for a meal and there's not much suitable for them on the menu.
There are few who would deny the presence of a higher power. A God by many different names. Historically it must have been hard for him to get around… but now he has the web… !
As a child I tried to pull off deals with God ‘ just sort such and such …. and I promise ….. ‘.
They mostly didn’t work .
